Bartering at Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

Today we had the opportunity to experience the floating market where fruits and vegetables were piled high with local foods cooked from floating kitchens right on the boat.

However, our boat had a different task in mind than the foods at our finger tips. We were on a quest to find some elephant print pants!

Off we went in search for the pants.
Along the way we ran into some familiar faces...
(Emily and Nikolay)
(Dave, Lauren, Michael, Vicky, Analesa)

We finally found some pants and the bartering process is something you will experience here in Thailand unless you want to overpay for something.  The seller typically starts off with an outrageous price and then works down towards a more reasonable price. The key here is to stay firm with your price and not waiver to their pleas.  Needless to say we got a great deal and left happy with our finds!
