Disease state presentations

Prior to the start of the rotation, all the students were split up into pairs to research a disease state that is prevalent in Thailand. Each pair wrote a brief two page summary about the disease state including the risk factors, causes, clinical features, diagnostic tests, preventative measures, treatment options and monitoring. On the way to the sites in the morning (in our vans) the students who were responsible for researching the disease state provided an overview so we were all prepared for the lecture topic that day.

Mike presenting on Tuberculosis

Analesa presenting on HIV/AIDS

Vicki presenting on Subcutaneous Mycoses

Sean presenting on Leprosy and Chromoblastomycosis

After Sean was finished we complimented him on his informative presentation and he replied with "l'm going to need some Metformin because you are all so sweet!"
