Visit to Chiang Daw Hospital and Ban Mitrathorn Orphanage

Today was the visit to the Chiangdow Hospital and the HIV/AIDS Orphan Care Ban Mitrathorn. I learned so much about how the Thai people take care of their infected patients. I have a wide respect for the way they treat the HIV patients like any other patients. Thailand also treats their migrants with the same free healthcare. The children at the orphanage were happy and very well taken care of. My heart swelled with joy just seeing the smiles on their faces.

These are pins/key-chains and candles made by HIV/AIDS patients to help pay for transportation and other aspects of their healthcare.

This is how my heart was stolen

Sharing her chips with the girls!
bunks for the elementary students

The real workers here at the orphanage! So much adorable clothes to clean and fold.
Here they are self sustaining growing their own food (Bananas and Rice seen here). The children tend to these crops.

Learning our colors!

These are the amazing woman who keep these children polite, happy, and fed during the hard times they are going through.
