Many students of UNE and WNEU enjoying their first experience of Thai Suki.
Thai Suki, also known as Hot Pot (Chinese), Sukiyaki (Japanese), and Shabu shabu (Taiwanese), dates back to 1,000 years from Mongolia. It is a form of stew where a
simmering metal pot of stock is placed at the center of the dining table. While the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked by each individual. Typical hot pot dishes include fresh thinly sliced meat, vegetables, mushrooms, wontons, egg dumplings, and seafood. The cooked food is usually eaten with a dipping sauce.
